A whole new start!

Image
It has been a long time. I am not going to lie. I went off the bandwagon. I started at a new gym a couple months ago, and I have been going, but not as faithfully. Work has been stressful... moving into a new clinic this week, started my masters, trying to find a balance. Let us not forget the dreaded holidays! BUT that is no excuse. I have come to the conclusion that A) I NEED to lose weight. It is necessary! B) I MUST find a way to do it quickly to boost me up, then go back to counting calories and living that lifestyle. The quote I picked for this post is so relevant to this mindset. So here is the plan! LOW CARB!!!!!!!!!!!! It is pretty easy to do... and I can eat anything. This is an adaption of the South Beach Diet. (Click here). I am going to go on this simply because I can lose some weight to make me less discouraged. So I can see what may come. My parents are doing it and I feel like it is just easier. I used to say "I do not care" but now it is time to

So this week:

I am so late at blogging today! But I just have to say this weekend was Labor Day weekend! I felt like I ate and ate and I was for sure thinking I was not going to lose anything, but surprisingly... I am down a pound! I do have to say it was probably all the running around with my nephews and niece and all we had was diet soda. I only had one can of Coke. So that might have been it! This week's goals are: Gym Track No non diet soda! Sorry this post is a little short, but time is running out! Until next week!

Success!

So this week was pretty successful! I am down a total of five pounds. I am not even sure how I accomplished this. I did not think I did well on my diet this past week, but then again I did not eat a lot either. My parents were out of town so I just ate healthier but like I was in college again. For exercise I mowed the lawn and did house work, I had NO time to make it to the gym! This week I am going to start walking at lunch again (which is this week) and I am going to try and do something better in my diet! Every morning I drink a weight loss shake, and for lunch I try to pack something healthy. Then for dinner we are going to eat healthy too! I found this cool blog that is awesome for finding you some Healthy Lunch Box Ideas!  (Click on "Healthy Lunch Box Ideas" to get to the web page!) Also if you are having a hard time click here it is a simulator to show how you would look at a specific weight! Awesome! I also made these kinds of jars, except instead of the

The Ugly Truth Part 2.

So today I gained a pound. It is very hard to step on the scale and find that you did not lose ANYTHING! I am not depressed, I am just angry with myself! Why did I name this the ugly truth part two? Well it is simple. I need to rekindle that weight loss fire and just start completely fresh TODAY! Goal This Week: Find foods that work, and use the My Fitness Pal App  religiously! No more excuses. This week I WILL succeed! Gym, diet, and mentality... we are set! Until Next Week!

Week 3!

Image
Hello! Well I am in week three of my weight loss. I did not gain nor did I lose any weight! Which is the good and the bad news! I would rather not lose any then gain anymore! I have been diligent in my eating habits, and even snacked less this past weekend. I am still at 247 pounds, just like I was last week. Before I get into my goals for the week, and things that need improvement, I just have to gloat for a simple moment! I went to the gym last night for a full hour! I usually only went for 30-45 minutes... but this was amazing! I worked on the elliptical and the treadmill for 16 minutes each. On the treadmill I ran longer then I have in a long time! The elliptical I worked my buns off... literally! I went backwards on it and work my butt! After working on some cardio I went and worked my legs and arms on the weights! It felt amazing! I went with Bri to her gym Planet Fitness  and that was really good! I usually go to my gym which is Gold's Gym . Both offer the same workouts,

Week 2: Update

Image
So this week... well I worked on my diet, but the weekend got the best of me. I am up 1 pound which is depressing, but as long as I do not let it go anymore, then I should be fine! What am I to do differently? Gym, Gym, Gym! I am going to the gym even if it is late at night! I will find a Gold's Gym that is open 24 hours a day! Even if it is the weekend stay strict! Things I Love to do for fitness: Zumba Elliptical Cardio Cinema. So Trista and my mom and I bought this Zumba pass, well the instructor got kicked out of his studio (so he says), and now we have no more Zumba for now. Which stinks cause we paid for the pass! So I guess if I want to do Zumba, I will go to my gym for now until he texts us! Hopefully he does, we paid money for that! Well I am going to leave everyone with a thought, it applies to my depressed attitude about the weight gain this week. Until Next Week!!!

Week One!

Don't let the weight loss meter at the right fool you, I am truly only down 2 pounds! I mean I put the wrong information in on the My Fitness Pal  so I am only down 2 pounds, not seven! I wish though! Seven pounds would be nice! But I am golden with two pounds down this week. It was really hard this week to say no to somethings but it was easy to remember my end goals in sight! What Worked/Success - Eating more fruits and veggies:   -Every morning I drink a weight loss shake, then for lunches I would make something small like chicken salad, and crackers, a sugar free jello/pudding, celery, peanut butter, and I would bring an extra granola bar or some carrots for the mid afternoon munchies. Being at work all day can really bring you down! -I cut down the soda intake. -Started working out a little but more. -Sticking to the My Fitness Pal app. When you log your exercise you are allotted more calories to eat! The goal is to eat all of your calories for the day. But

The Ugly Truth

I am sure you have all read the numerous blogs about the life changing transformations that men and women go through. Well I have too. I read them, and I think "well I can do that!". It is not until you stand in front of your mirror one day, and are trying to look good in the biggest item of clothing you own, which you just bought... it puts a damper on a girls mood. So by some stroke of genius I decided that it was time to truly full heartily commit to weight loss. Now let me tell you my story, then I will continue on with this one: So it is safe to say that my weight issues started in seventh grade. I am not pointing fingers at anyone to say who's fault my weight gain was. I used to think it was my mom and dad for all the pressure of weight loss they put on me for a long time. But it was just my stubborn mentality that I was fine. In Seventh grade I started on the Atkins diet, because we thought it was a necessary measure. Then it literally began from there. I knew
