Confessions of a New Gym Head

Can I just say that I have always hated the gym? But lately I only want to be at the gym. I guess it helps that I like my gym, and don't go alone. Anyone else like this? I used to call people like this a "gym head" but now I am eating my words. Here are today's reasons for going through the awful weight loss cycle for the umpteenth time... 1. To get fit 2. No more back pain 3. To meet gentlemen that will like me for me, because I will like me for me. 4. Self confidence. And that is that in a nutshell. Any who until next time....

The Ups and Downs of the Weight Loss Rollar Coaster!

Image
Weight Loss... it is a rollar coaster! One minute you are doing completely wonderful... then you are down 20 pounds, then one day everything changes, and your weight goes from plus 5 pounds down 5 pounds, so on an so forth. The last few months of 2013 were hard. Not only with the Holidays, but my lack of self control, self confidance, and my motivation. Well for 2014 I decided to get right back on my weight loss, and my gym time. I started back on January 2, 2014 (let's face it, the first day of the new year does not count, it is still a holiday). I feel energized and I feel motivated! I have been to the gym 3 times, doing vigorous activity like the Arc Trainer. I took a day off yesterday cause I was ill... and I MISSED the gym! Today it is snowing and the roads look terrible, so I am not sure if I am going to make it tonight either... so I researched some great apps and videos. I have Hulu+, Amazon Prime, and Netflix to cure my need for video as well. Here is an App I found that...

Burn Baby Burn!

So in my last post I was on that Stepping Stone Nutrition plan... IT WORKS! I swear! I am down about 10-12 pounds (depending on the scale) and I am already about 2 inches off my stomach and an inch and a half off my belly! To show my progress at about 5 weeks of doing this program (which feels like it was yesterday), here is a pic. I show my face because this is what every one says my main weight loss is looking the best at right now! Me before                                   Me at five weeks!! Anyway I am really excited to see where I am at each time! I have a wedding to go to in June in Vegas and I am meeting up with a friend of mine, and I am excited to see what everyone thinks! Until next time!

I finally came to the conclusion that being fat was making me sad. My brothers brother in law works for stepping stone nutrition. I eat 6 meals a day and work out 5 days a week. Sounds rough? Yes. Is it? Only if you make it! I am only in my first week and I am down 2.5 pounds. So I'll keep you posted!!!!

A whole new start!

It has been a long time. I am not going to lie. I went off the bandwagon. I started at a new gym a couple months ago, and I have been going, but not as faithfully. Work has been stressful... moving into a new clinic this week, started my masters, trying to find a balance. Let us not forget the dreaded holidays! BUT that is no excuse. I have come to the conclusion that A) I NEED to lose weight. It is necessary! B) I MUST find a way to do it quickly to boost me up, then go back to counting calories and living that lifestyle. The quote I picked for this post is so relevant to this mindset. So here is the plan! LOW CARB!!!!!!!!!!!! It is pretty easy to do... and I can eat anything. This is an adaption of the South Beach Diet. (Click here). I am going to go on this simply because I can lose some weight to make me less discouraged. So I can see what may come. My parents are doing it and I feel like it is just easier. I used to say "I do not care" but now it is time to ...
