Change

It is time for a change, and my friends I always say this. No matter how hard I work I gain the weight, and no matter how much I don't work, I gain double the weight. This is why I am to date at my ultimate biggest size. I went to the doctor to get help, I am that desperate. He gave me some pills, but told me to also work on my diet and eat right. I have fallen out of my routine. So I am going to be better, go harder, faster, stronger. I want to be healthy. My mental health is bad now, my depression is at its very worst. My hands are numb and carpal tunnel is upon me because my doc said, my weight is affecting it. I want to feel like a 26 year old female who can date any guy, do any activity, and be her very best. Change. Sometimes we need a bad situation (revert to poorworkinggirl.blogspot.com) to open our eyes, and an even more serious to see it. I hate that everyone can now say I told you so, but I wish I had not let it get this far Back on track. Even with the holidays.

Goal Setting Part 1

Image
For the next couple of blogs I would like to start (more for myself) a weekly goal(s) challenge! I know that I have been silent since January - but there hasn't been much to talk about! So here it is: Week 1: Here are some things I am going to do THIS WEEK!  (April 13-19). This week will begin tomorrow - since Sundays will be goal planning. Goal 1 I am going to cut out soda once again. Since my surgery in November I have been drinking soda like crazy! I was doing so well without soda. I never felt a sincere weight loss change with the no soda, but since drinking it again - I feel a wee bit disgusting and losing weight is hard. PLUS on  Weight Watchers , it is unnecessary points. So why waste my 39 daily points on 10 points worth of soda? So I am going to go back to my  NO SODA CHALLENGE!! Goal 2 Track, track, track - oh and TRACK! I am going to be fully committed to tracking points, no skipping, nothing of the sort!!! When I track on Weight Watchers - I do ...

New Year, New You!

Image
Dear Friends, So it is almost the end of the first month of 2015 - and your "I am going to lose 10 pounds by February" fell through? That is a means to ending everything right? Heck no! I have been wanting to lose 10 pounds by February for at least three years now! My  Weight Watchers  instructor is a funny guy - but let me tell you what - he challenged us! Instead of making some sort of vague weight loss goal like that - set a date and then a reward for the accomplishment. I will admit, some of the people in my meeting are interesting - but we are all there for a common goal - to better ourselves. One lady set a goal to reach her 10% by her daughters wedding, and when she did - she bought herself a spa day. How cool is that? I think that we need to set realistic goals with a realistic thing in mind. My first goal for my weight loss was to be down my 10% (which is about 24 pounds), by June 1st. I know that the oatmeal cookies I just ate won't help - but the fact tha...

Surgery

Tomorrow I am going in for surgery, and I am going to hope that I maintain my weight. I won't be able to really exercise until the beginning of the new year. I Am going to eat on weight watchers and track the best I can. I hope that whatever followers I may have, you'll follow me through this journey and I hope that I can find some tips to help you in your journey, should you ever have surgery. I will post when i can but I will be on painkillers for a good few days. Until next time.

I had a dream.... (also a recipe for a delicious baked potato)

I had a dream once. It was of the worlds most delicious Coca Cola. Fizzy, cold, crisp, delicious, and the best thing since sliced bread! I woke up wanting this Coke. Oh how I would have given anything for this Coke. But I did not! Because I made a commitment to NO SODA!!!! I have been Soda Free since  May 12, 2014 !!! That has been 17 weeks (3 Months) of nothing. The only indulgence I have is a Coke Slurpee. Hey there is no carbonation in it. The only bad thing to this is the occasional delicious Coca Cola dream, other than that I feel normal. I fear that if I ever drank a Coke again - I would simply just hate myself. So I will never drink soda again (I plan to keep this for a long [if not forever] time). Weight Loss Update: Weight loss is good, I am down 10 pounds on Weight Watchers, I weigh in again Saturday so that is always an exciting thing!
